Why betweenaffiliates.com?
Introduction
BetweenAffiliates is an ad-serving platform aimed at making it easy to get started with affiliate marketing. Managing a handful of different affiliate programs — each with its own dashboard, its own tags, its own way of doing things — is tedious, and we didn't find another service that made it simple to pull them all together behind one embed.
You keep your own affiliate accounts and your own tracking codes; we're the layer in between that decides, per request, which ad to serve, in whichever format your page needs, and gives you one place to see how everything is performing.
Origins
The idea started while working on betweenmovies.com, wanting to add some ads to the site to help cover its running costs. Google AdSense didn't pay particularly well for that kind of content, and the alternative — affiliate ads — meant juggling several separate programs to get real variety and anything resembling context-aware placement. Doing that properly needed a system behind it, and that system became the idea for an ad-serving platform other publishers could use too, not just our own sites.

Running the service costs us to build and keep running, so there's a fee once you're past the free tier, but the aim is for it to stay easy to justify: you should get back far more in saved time and better-matched ads than the subscription costs.

Every embed format — script, image, link, iframe, or a raw HTML fetch — follows the same URL pattern. Learn it once and you can drop an ad into any page in one line, no SDK and no build step required.
Simplifying choice
If you want to stick to one affiliate program, you can. If you'd rather show ads from a handful of them and let us pick per request, that works too. You choose how much control you want over what shows up, and the same flexibility applies to sizing — give us a fixed width and we'll fill it with an ad of the right height, or hand us a size range and let us pick from within it.
Simplifying statistics
Instead of logging into a separate dashboard per affiliate program, you get one place to see views and clicks — by ad, by affiliate, by page — as they happen. How much detail you can see (per-affiliate CTR, country and bot breakdowns) depends on your plan; see the features page for specifics.
Simplifying optimization
Because we see traffic across many sites, not just yours, we can use that context to help pick a better-fitting ad for a given page rather than serving a purely random one from the pool. This context-aware matching is still evolving, and we're upfront that it's a work in progress — but every request also supports being explicit: name the exact affiliate, product, or keyword you want, and that always takes priority over our guess.
Simplifying revenue
You bring your own affiliate account and your own tracking code, so you get paid directly by your affiliate program, the same as if you'd embedded their tag yourself — nothing changes hands through us. What we simplify is everything around that: one embed instead of several, one set of stats, and one dashboard instead of switching between each program's own portal. If you haven't signed up with an affiliate program yet, you can still test the service using our own placeholder tag, and once you register your own we can connect any traffic already recorded for your site to your account.
Simplifying transitions
Bringing your own affiliate accounts in is meant to be painless, and so is leaving: your site and your data are yours, and there's no lock-in if you decide the service isn't for you. You can also try it without an account at all — every format works without signing up — and if you like what you see, register afterward and we'll connect your existing traffic to your new account once your site is registered under it.

The service isn't limited to your own site. Once you have an account and a username, you can use the exact same links anywhere online — a guest post, a forum comment, a YouTube description — and it'll still be tracked back to you.
